Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released today, Nov 10, 2009 for the PS3 and XBOX.

Now, depending on your sex, (I admit, I’m being a TAD  sexist; feel free to hate mail me at kimberly@themodline.com), you’ll either be letting out a quiet, but heavy-hearted “Oh no…” or a manly exclamation of glee, perhaps an  “Oh, YES!” at this news.

Whatever the case, be sure to clear your calendars. Ladies, time to whip out a novel and the nail polish for a home mani-pedi combo and some grade-school style silent reading…’cause you won’t have access to watch TV for a few days. If you’ve got a man, perhaps it’s time to hit the town with your girls…on a Wednesday. ‘Cause, you know, “Baby, [he]‘ll be busy.”

To the men, rejoice! Dust off that headset and mic and call up your boys. Time for some intense-online-gaming-killing-terrorist action! It’s sexy time.

IGN’s Rating: “9.5/10 – ‘INCREDIBLE.’” My Girlfriend Rating: 8.8976? (I have no idea.) If you play, the realization that you have yet to EAT something and take a shower is dangerously high. The temptation to claim H1N1, call in sick to work and play for 23 hours straight may cross your mind, too. After watching my bros play for a bit I can tell you the graphics are disgustingly true-to-life! I witnessed a level that was literally carnage on a residential street. NOT like GTA (Grand Theft Auto).
