OCTOBER
FIRST
10th Annual Improv Fest September 29-October 3, 2009
Where can you see the world's most skilled comedic and improvisational performers in one place, for one week, with no rules? Only at VIIF!

We're proud to announce our 2009 lineup, packed with gifted performers from places as far as Berlin, and as close as your backyard — all coming together for a week of over 20 performances. That's 20 shows created live, using only your suggestions and the imaginations of two dozen talented improvisers.

BC Fashion Week Sept 28-Oct 3
Twice each year, concurrent with the two annual fashion seasons, the entire industry comes together to present ready to wear lines to a focused target audience. Globally recognized as "Fashion Week", you have these events scheduled in many major fashion centres around the world. It is an opportunity for the entire industry to collectively showcase the upcoming seasons’ collections to trade buyers (retailers, buying houses, distributors, wholesalers, agents, potential franchises), the media and individual buyers.

CANUCKS @ FLAMES
Catch the Canucks take on their first season game on Live on CBC or on radio TEAM 1040 today at 7pm!

The Bikennale! - Sunday October 4th 2009
A combination bike ride and cultural experience, the Bikennale provides a perfect way to see the monumental sculptures which the Vancouver Biennale has installed throughout Vancouver. On a route that takes you from Vanier Park to Gastown, through Vancouver’s West End and along the Seawall around False Creek back to the seaside relaxation of Vanier Park, the Bikennale is a meandering ride which showcases the best of these Vancouver neighbourhoods. The full route with the long extension takes you to VanDusen Gardens, to Queen Elizabeth Park and back down to False Creek.
