Register on-line early because the first 500 people to sign up will be part of the flash mob of 500 festival pink dancing umbrellas to be featured on April 14th outside The Vancouver Art Gallery. Additional participants can also perform the Cherry Blossom Umbrella Dance at Festival events such as Cherry Jam Downtown, Burrard Skytrain Station and VanDusen Botanical Garden for Sakura Days Japan Fair. Other dancers will celebrate with the Umbrella Dance under a canopy of cherry blossoms at Queen Elizabeth Park, David Lam Park or in the downtown core; where you least expect it and from Granville Island, Robson Square, across neighbourhoods to hospitals and senior centres, uplifting spirits.
