Another 2nd Sunday of May, and we find ourselves wishing Mothers around the world a Happy Mothers Day <3 <3 <3Sorry, but for those who view holidays or special occasions as another money-making scheme from Hallmark, Mother’s and Father’s Day are two that we just should not be complaining about. Both days are to meant to celebrate our parents, who without a doubt, have made you who you are (literally).  So if you are going to cry and complain that the cards made for Mother’s Day are overpriced and the song inside is so unnecessary (yes they are and yes it is), then you need to melt that “ice box where your heart used to be” (Omarian, 2007), stop being so cold, make whatever amends you need to with your Mom, and really appreciate her for bringing you into the world and bringing you up to be the fine fellow or fine lady that you have become.I’ve had a rocky past relationship with the ‘rents, but you know what, I realized it was not worth it to keep giving them attitude, talking back, deliberately disrespecting them and not listening to them (shi#$t this list goes on and on), and I find that now that I’m on good terms with both of them, things are a lot better for me too (More trust, more leniency, helpful conversations, financial aid..lol ).Soooo a toast to all you Mothers out there today, no matter how old or how young; today is your day, and you should be pampered and recognized as being someone special and someone loved.PS Me and my sis bought our parents tickets to see The Eagles rock out in GM Place tonight (I think we’re paying for them..)!! They deserve it (wow this was sappy..but very necessary OK)PZ,Dora
